John McCain's concession speech was all pathos. He congradulated Obama on his victory and did not seem bitter about it. McCain even seem upset when his supporters booed Obama. McCain even went as far to congradulate the african american community in helping Obama's victory over himself. His main arguement was no matter party it is time to fix this nation it is in shambles at the moment and we must cross party lines to solve them. He gave a strong speech and handled the loss in a very professional and respective manner.

I would have to agree with you on that, Justin. McCain gave a very strong speech that was not only dignifying, but also strong with rhetorical elements. I also feel that Obama did a decent job as well.

I agree that McCain used a lot of pathos and this really helped his speech to be more effective. You can tell how much he cares for this country and that he still respects Obama and will do whatever he can to continue to make America a better place.

I am glad that both candidates realized that this country needed help. I hope that McCain is able to help Obama in the reforms he is trying to bring about for the sake of the entire nation, and that it isn't just about one party or another. Maybe for once this nation will truly be the UNITED States of America, which is what I think McCain was trying to encourage.
