Introductory Post!

Hi Guys, I'm Justin, I am a sophomore here working on a double bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology. I am from Crowley,Texas(just south of Ft. Worth). I am a drummer in church band entitled Clash. I Love the outdoors, i love to fish and spend time on the lake, hunt, camp, etc. My girlfriend is the one and only love of my life(besides God) we have been together now for going on two and a half years and she has yet to kill me so it must be right. I am taking this course to continually improve my writing and help with all my current and future classes. I also hope to strengthen my knowledge of American politics. At the moment most of my writing is either text messaging or paperwork at my job. I wish i had the time and energy to do more writing. At the moment it is like the giant squid, out there somewhere just never seen alive. I fell I am an overall good writer. I just lack the organization to plan and gather my thoughts before hand and i write as my thoughts come to me. I truly have a love/hate relationship with all types of politics. I am thoroughly interested in them yet I hate the games that are played throughout. I believe there are political games played in places where there should not be, and education is the worst. To often are the needs of the students overlooked due to boards worried about budgets. I think that my blog is arguing my strong attitude and beliefs. It argues neutrality, maturity and class. It portrays a reflection of myself, precise and to the point, focused on content rather than cheap frills, yet still has humor to lighten the mood. I believe these choices reflect me in the fact that i am here for one reason and that is to further my education and do well in this course.
I Justin have read, understand and agree to the terms in the course syllabus.

I agree with you on the political games. Many times they hinder the goal trying to be accomplished and make things worst then they already were.

I have to agree with both you and Tom about politicians and politics in general playing elaborate games. But for me that's what i find most interesting about politics. All the different opinions competing for attention especially from the media is interesting to see how a far a group or person will go just to get coverage.

Justin, I agree with what you say about politics. Even though I do not like politics, I am still interested in them, I just do not like the "game-playing" part either.
